Ana David MSc graduated from Kingston University with Master’s Degree in Structural Design and Construction Management.
Upon graduation Ana have been involved in offering technical support to users of structural analysis and design software such as SAP2000, Tekla Structural Designer and Tedds; mainly for Steel and Concrete Building Structures.
In the last few years Ana developed structural engineering experience as a consultant design engineer being involved in various types of projects including extensions, loft conversions and refurbishment of domestic and historical buildings. She has experience on designing steel beams to allow removal of load bearing walls, steel framed buildings, reinforced concrete members, and timber members for new roofs and loft conversions.
Ana has also been undertaking some structural inspection assessing existing buildings for structural design purposes.
Ana is currently progressing towards becoming a Chartered Structural Engineer.
What's the most interesting project you've worked on?
"During my design experience one of my most challenging and interesting jobs was a refurbishment of an existing 5 storey office building with basement and large plant roof in London. "
What inspired you to become a Structural Engineer?
"My teachers during my degree/masters and many engineers I have worked with especially my Master's Dissertation supervisor, Costas Georgopoulos.
What are your proudest achievements?
"Master’s Degree and becoming a mum."
Hobbies & Interests
"Yoga, tennis, singing, dancing, travelling. I also love meeting people from different background/culture and enjoy spend time with family/friends."
